Blink 182!?

Growing up in the Cleveland area, I always went to local rock/metal shows. I guess you could say I was an inspiring rock star. Good friends of mine would get together and cover Blink 182 songs, day in and day out. Heck I thought we were pretty good, until I found an old demo of ours and was blown away on how AWFUL we were. Haha I still love those guys though, (Matt, Andrew).

But that is way beyond the point of this post! If you have not heard, Blink 182 has announced an official come back. This was taken from there myspace/website...

"Hi. We're blink-182. This past week there’ve been a lot of questions about the current status of the band, and we wanted you to hear it straight from us. To put it simply, We're back. We mean, really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. In the studio writing and recording a new album. Preparing to tour the world yet again. Friendships reformed. 17 years deep in our legacy.

Summer 2009.

Thanks and get ready... "

I don't know about you, but I nearly pooed my pants when that was brought to my attention! The one time I had the chance to see Blink live, I wasn't aloud to because of a History test the next day! Thanks mom&dad! Well I'm as happy as ever because as you can see a new album is in the works, as long as touring!

Here's a little video for you kiddies, that enjoy them as much as I do.

Traveling

While venturing back to Ohio to visit some old friends, and family, I took the greyhound bus. I'm not to sure how many of you have actually had the pleasure of traveling by bus, but it in fact an experience you will not forget. This is the 2nd time I have had road a greyhound, and it just kind of hit me today, seeing people travel... Weather its by car, bus, train, airplane, or even bicycle, people from all over the world, going to different destinations. Some carrying presents for loved ones, others carrying military gear for training. It just amazes me that you never think about these things when you are at home, or out with your friends, but people are always traveling. There will always be a plane taking off filed with tourists, business men and woman, and there will always be someone boarding a train or bus, to venture across states to see loved ones or to go to college, just as I am. (visiting friends and family)

Being on the road by yourself, just makes you appreciate the people you are surrounded with on a daily basis. For instance, I just watched (what I thought ot be a single mother) and her son and daughter re-unite with there kids father, and her husband. They seemed so overwhelmed with joy, just to see there dad get off that bus. Maybe they haven't seen him in a day or two, or maybe it has been weeks, I couldn't tell you personally. It just made me realize that you can't take what you have in your life (I.E friends, family, girlfriends/boyfriends) for granted.

Breakfast?

So I woke up this terrific morning to with what I found to be my new favorite breakfast food! I don't know how many of you guys eat cereal in the morning, because after the thread I posted on emptees late last night, it looks like most of you some type of alcohol or pancakes! Haha. But if you are a cereal kind of person I urge you to check out Special K's Blueberry cereal! It's delicious! It almost taste like homemade blueberry muffins my mom used to make when I was living back home! Wow, maybe I should go visit my mother for some of those now that I'm thinking about it.

Speaking of breakfast foods, I haven't had cinnamon rolls in the longest time haha, and what brought this to mind is that, every Christmas morning my mom would ALWAYS make cinnamon rolls for my brother and I, and sadly when I was home this year she did not. Bummer.

Another thing that was brought to my attention last night, we should hopefully be able to launch an "official" re-launch date within the next few weeks if everything goes to plan! (crosses fingers). There has been so much planning and hard work going into this re-launch and I cant thank enough everyone that helps me with Offbeat, especially my partners Jake and Ben, who make sure my head is on straight and that I stay grounded. Haha, without those guys Offbeat might be a bit of a disaster right now, considering some of the crazy ideas I've had. So keep checking back, this launch will be here sooner than you know it!

Electric Zombie!!

I ordered my Electric Zombie t-shirt last week sometime, and it arrived today! What a great brand, and the genius behind this Zombie Madness! is Kyle Crawford. If you are not familiar with "Electric Zombie", by all means please check his brand/art out! Its nothing short of fantastic.

From a customers perspective, I was nothing but pleased with my package I received today, not only did I receive my t-shirt but a fantastic custom shipping box. Now I'm not 100% sure, but I don't know of many brands that have custom shipping boxes like this....

Yes! That is in fact a coffin shaped box! Fits with Kyle's theme amazingly! It really shows that there are still people within this industry that put a lot of thought and time/consideration into what they are producing for you and I (as customers). Like I said before, if you have in fact not checked out Electric Zombie please do, www.theelectriczombie.com .

Taxes

SO I just got my W-2 tax form today, and I'm pretty excited. I worked at blockbuster last year for only a short amount of time. Maybe 5 months at the most, but I found out I'll be getting back a good amount of change! It's always exciting to find out something that you did not expect to happen. For example. Have you ever put on a pair of pants or shorts that you have not worn in, lets say, two or three months and you find money in the pocket! Score!! That actually just recently happened to me the other day. I put my jeans on, and Bam! I was $20 richer than before. Fun times.
